Default no-slip grips...

I just did one using some shelf liner and my clip wouldn't hardly open back up... is there anything better to use that dries quickly? Or is there a technique to using the shelf liner? Thanks.

Jennifer

Check out Walmart in the tape section, by where duct tape, masking tape, etc., in the painting department. There's a product called Duct Hold-It tape. It is adhesive on one side and a no=slip on the other side. The roll is a little over $8 a roll, but you get 2400 no slips (cutting them 1/4" by 1.25" strips). That's some DANG cheap no-slips! And it's nice because one side is already an adhesive so just peel & stick. It's thinner than the shelf liner & works fabulous! YOu can also check out this blog that I found last week that has a variety of no=slip options. http://noslipclip.blogspot.com/

HTH!!!

How are you connecting the shelf liner to the inside of the clip

I only use gripzies. They have been aproved by the FDA and are CPSIA certified as well.

Just a reminder, if you use anything else that has latex, and a child has a peanut allergy, your non slip grip could be fatal.

I cut them down to the size I need and hot glue them to the ribbon and let them dry then line the alligator clip with my ribbon as usual using the hot glue. Then once I am done, I find that it is hard to open the clip again. I may have to use the carpet tape I have heard about that somewhere else. I tried the silicone and as it worked for me, just took too long to dry. Thanks for the quick responses.

I've heard about people using velcro before. Has anyone here had any luck using that as a no-slip?

I use silicone (my favorite method), but velvet works really well, too. Good luck

Thanks for the headsup! I don't make stuff for anyone but family members (daughter, nieces, etc.), maybe I am just dumb, but I had no idea that latex & peanut allergies were related. That's scary!!! I appreciate the information!!
