Default How do you stop toggle hairbands slipping

Hi

Just made my first toggle hairband, but when I tried it in my dd hair, it just slid straight back off despite tightning up the toggle properly. Any ideas would be great, I've just bought a stack of ribbon and toggles to make loads for christmas fairs but can't see how they are going to work.

thanks

My dd wears them and so do i. the only time they slip from her hair is if she is wearing a pony tail and the headband. when she wears her hair down it is fine. mine stays put. does your dd have thick or thin hair? i think it stays put better in thick hair. i wonder if u could glue some shelf liner on the back of it??

I silicone mine in the middle of the ribbon for approx. 4-6 inches. So, far I haven't had a problem with them slipping.

when you do the silicone do you spread it out with a puddy knife or something or just leave it as is when it comes out of the tube?

I squeeze out a line then take a popsicle stick and run across 1 time... the first time or 2 I completely spread it out and made a big mess!!

I spread mine out with a clippie just because it's something that I have around. I'd like to hear what others use though!!

I use toothpicks to spread the stuff, same as when I do my clippies.

Thank you I will try silicone I have a tube sitting in my study (not sure why as never used it before)

She did have her hair up and it is quite fine hair, I think it would stay better in mine which is curly.

Anyway thank you I will try this evening.

Kerry
