Question Christmas Clippies Question

Where is the best place to get Christmas-themed (or even winter-themed) hair bow/clippie instructions? I'm looking at YCMT, but wanted to know what you ladies recommended first before actually buying anything. I also am going to be getting a few spools of ribbon in different colors and widths, but don't want to purchase colors and widths that I wouldn't be using right away (to cut down on clutter in my sewing room).

I'm trying to get some things made to send down to my parents in TX, since they are participating in a craft fair on November 22 and have said that Im more than welcome to send stuff down for them to sell on my behalf. My mom also said that the Christmas-themed clippies, as well as some "general purpose" (non-seasonal) bows in different sizes would probably do the best.

TIA!

Christina

i would recommend searching here before buying any tut's. i'm sure there are tutorials to fit with every holiday/season/special day.
almost every tutorial i have purchased, i found here for free.

good luck, hope you find what you're looking for!

I'm looking for Santa, snowman, penguin, gingerbread man/lady, maybe a Christmas present, etc. Basically, anything that could be used for Christmas and/or winter.

I already have the Christmas tree clippie instructions from here, and am going to attempt the poinsettia directions from Girly Things Bows once I get 1/4" yellow grosgrain (I already have some 5/8" red grosgrain ribbon, and will be getting more soon).

On that note, what sizes and colors of grosgrain ribbon work best for the different bows and clippies? I have several spools (ok, a plastic grocery bag nearly stuffed full) of different colors and widths in grosgrain, satin, and the like, but want to know what a good "basic" or "starter kit" set of ribbons would consist of.

There is a snowman one on Girly Things, but I was looking for one with more "oomph" to it, perhaps a hat (the GT one is a little on the plain side, though it could work in a pinch)...I suppose I could come up with a hat of my own! LOL

I use the penguin from girly things and he comes out super cute. I also modified that tut for a ducky and to make spiders.

I can totally see modifying the penguin clippie for a duck or a spider! I'll have to keep that in mind for the future...

Did you ever find out where to get these instructions? I would really love to find them, too. Thanks!

look up little pink lady bug on etsy. She has a really cute gingerbread boy/girl instruction there for like 5 dollars. I have it and they turn out so cute. Plus she sells the peppermint instructions there.
