Default Headbands

I am so frustrated!!!

I want to do ribbon wrapped headbands for some new clips that I have made. So everything starts out well but after I get to the center and start working my way down the other side I can not get it to lay straight. Is there a trick to this I'm missing. I try keeping the ribbon really tight but still end up with the second side all bumpy. I have attached some quick photos showing an example of the problem I'm having.

I'm sorry I cannot really help with this. I've only done the woven headbands with 2 or 3 colors and they came out fine. The ones I've done I just keep really tight and make sure each row butts up right next to the next one. Maybe you can even try to overlap each of your rows slightly to see if that will help.

Funny thing is I can do woven headbands. But for some reason I just can't get these wrapped ones to work for me.

I just started making ribbon wrapped headbands and haven't encountered this problem, yet . I do use the strong sealah like tape on the underside of the headband and pull the ribbon tight, also.
