Thumbs down Lining clips with terrifically tacky tape? PROBLEM. Help:(

Hi, I tried lining my double prong clips with terfically tacky tape by art accentz. I dont like using glue gun because it's too messy. Everyone here said to use it and it works good with them but I started lining with tacky tape only to notice after a while the ribbon comes OFF of the hair clip??

I have had this issue with the terifically tacky tape too.......They looked great, but after a week or so, I noticed most of the clips had loose ribbon.

I use Sealah brand tape and the other "no name" tape from Julia (afeincreation) to line my clips. Neither of those has ever lifted from anything I have used it on. These tapes are industrial strength - not made for paper and scrapbooking. Maybe that is the difference?

As an added measure, I use a drop of hot glue on the back part of the clip.

I use both of those too I while back I was using terrifically tacky and just like she said....not industrial strength. I think that makes a difference I also started putting on lil drop of glue on the end to make even more secure

You can get it here: http://www.jodeesinc.com/. As far as I know it is not sold in any local stores.

I use the 1/4" to line the 3/8" ribbon for clips. I use some of the wider sizes for my headbands and thicker ribbon. I love it!

Yes that is it. If you can wait until next month though, Julia (afeincreation) will be doing another group buy for her tape which is as good as sealah but is less money and you get more.

Don't throw your terrically tacky tape away! Its great for scrapbooking. In fact, that's all I thought it was used for. It may come loose on ribbon but it STICKS wonderfully to papers!
