I purchased a wood burner set so I can start experimenting with soem new hairbow ideas I have. I need a heatsafe cutting board though. Any ideas on how to make one. I saw a link under the halloween bat in 2nd instruction contest but it did not go anywhere. Any ideas? please.....

I use 12x12 tile's leftover from remodeling my kitchen. Works great! I have a few that I have marked different measurements on for different projects.

Go to Dollar store and buy the cheap picture frame. Take the glass out of it and use that. Cheap & safe .

I used two pieces of glass (20 x 16) from picture frames that I used to make some displays. I sandwiched 1/2 graph paper in between them so that I could easily cut ribbon without pulling out rulers or measuring tapes all the time. I taped the edges with blue painters tape. I use it as a work surface to protect my table since I don't have a dedicated craft space. I don't have to worry about setting my wood burner or glue gun down and ruining the table. Nothing fancy, just stuff I had laying around the house.

You can get heat-safe mats from glass working stores, too. I believe Delpi carries them.

Go to the dollar store and buy a large cookie sheet with edges. It's good for both glue guns and wood burners and the edges keep things from rolling off.
