Default fairy halo

I am making fairy costumes for a set of little girls my Husband is photographing but I am a litte stumped on teh halo's. I dont like the idea of using the wire garland. I was wondering what you guys use. I thought about using the metal hoops you use for dream catchers. What do u think?

I use the wire garland. I measure the head, and cut it several times longer. I usually make mine with 3-6 wraps because I like them sturdy. Wrap the wire, tuck in the ends, and attach the curling ribbon.
