Default How to paint wine glasses?

Ok girls this is a little off topic, but since so many of you out there are so crafty, I thought I would pose this question. I would like to make some custom wine glasses for some friends

see example:

But I am not sure how they did the monogram? It seems so perfect, it can't be hand painted, or can it? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

you print out the letters you want ... cut them out leaving a white border...tape to the inside of the glass... paint the outside of the glass staying within the design.

practice will make perfect get used to how the paint flows off the brush...

Vitrea paint by Pebeo is made for painting on glass. You let it dry and then bake in a regular oven at 325 degrees. It's completely safe (and dishwasher safe too).
Michael's carries it.

Thanks I knew you ladies would be a big help. Does anyone suggest certain paint brushes? I have never had good luck picking out paint brushes that work well.

I could be mistaken, but those images look familiar...maybe I've seen them on ebay? Anyway, if it's the same person, those were not painted. It's an applied, computer-cut vinyl letter and polka dots, which is why there are specific fonts you can choose and why it looks perfect.

Maybe the letters are vinyl...some vinyl machines have a mirror image where it'll print the letter the other way so you can put in on the inside of this.....I don't think that makes sense...I can't explain it. Sorry.

The vinyl letters make sense, but I would think they wouldn't be able to be washed then....

Thanks again ladies for your help!
