Default Making my 1st batch of real korkers tonight

What tips should I be aware of?
I have made some before but only enough for two small 4th of july korkers.

I am making a bigger batch tonight.....

I know from reading through on here today about people using different sizes......BUT..........
what is the basic size that I should I cut them to when finished for normal sized and mini sized korkers?

I would like to add them to my diaper cake that I am in the process of making for the baby shower that I am doing.

Thanks

I don't make korker often. But when I do I cut the large korkers at 3" or 3 1/2" using 30 to 35 pieces, and the smaller ones at about 2" using 10 to 15 pieces.

I don't starch mine. I don't like the way they feel. You may want to try it both ways. If you bake them long enough, starch is not necessary.

I cut regular into 2 1/2" peices and I add as many peices as I want. Depends on what I am feeling like at the time!

I don't measure mine when I cut them, I count the number of curls and cut them that way. For regular korkers, I cut 5 curls and use 35-40 of them. For minis, I cut 3 curls and use 18. Post pics when you're done!

I didn't get to make any tonight, I was finishing up the diaper wreath and finished the layers on the diaper cake. I am hoping to post pics tomorrow of them. I am kind of proud of them, for being my first and not really knowing much about either of them. The cake is going to be more of a dispaly item because I bought her lots of clothes and it is hard to put them on the cake without covering it up and it is so pretty that I don't want to cover it, lol. I made my niece a mini diaper cake, she is 1, I put little hair bows and a kufi hat & a princess wand. I will post that also.I am also making a knotted fleece blanket. ( If anyone has any tips about those, I would greatly appreciate them, lol.) I am trying to do so much all at once. My mom and I bought some very nice gifts for the games today and ordered the cake and thought about the foods, bought decorations, so I am half way there, lol. * wipes the sweat away* lol.
