Default Onesies w/ Neckties

I've need to make a few and am wondering, should I just cut out the tie and sew it right on, or should I fold back all the edges of the tie, and then sew it onto the onesie? Also, any other suggestions for by items would be great!! Thanks for the help!

It depends on the look you are going for and how you'll sew it on. I would use a zig zag on the onesies because of the stretch of the fabric. Make it a loose zig zag for a little bit of a raggie look, or make it a tight zig zag (satin stitch) for a more finished look.

I made a few of these for my son when he was little, and I ironed mine onto the onesie and then used a satin stitch all the way around.

A satin stitch is a really close together satin stitch.

I made my own tie pattern and this is what I came up with. I like the frayed edge look rather thatn the clean edge on the ties. JMO
