I'll have to try the yarn. I've been using beading wire.... cause when I used string it broke and didn't have anything else...

I use 8lb fishing line. It will not break.

I use thin wire from the jewelry section from Walmart, that way if it's not centered or if I need to adjust a loop, I can just pull it to fix it.

Elastic thread - Not the thin one for sewing machine but the thicker one. It works brilliantly for me.

I use the same thing and I agree.

I use the wire too. I like the way I can manipulate the bow afterwards. I'm thinking about trying the dental floss though.

Does anyone know if jewlery wire contains lead? I just got an email back from the manufacturers of the floral wire I have been using and they can't answer my question about lead. They just say that they don't recommend it for the purpose of making bows. I really prefer using wire over thread, so I'm hoping someone out there has some info. TIA!
