I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves these! When I first saw them, I thought they were so beautiful, and it's a bonus that they're easy to make!

I have a quick question for those who have tried this with fabric. Do you think a dupioni silk would work, by any chance? I'm not a sewer, so I have no ideas how the different fabrics would work, but I have a ton of left-over dupioni silk from my wedding invitation biz where I used to cover cardboard boxes in the stuff. It would be nice to put this beautiful fabric to good use!

Thanks again for all of the help. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly here. I just love it!

I used the "fake" duponi silk and they turned out great. I did it so that they shiny side would be up when finished. I had some beige-y material and it turned out very classy when I paired them with cream pearl beads.

I need to work on the positioning of the crystals and maybe try a round crystal instead of the bicones, but here you go. This was my first try making them.

Can't forget my favorite color. The crystals are wonky but I still like it.

do most of you use fabric or ribbon. i would love to try these but i dont thinkd my 1 1/2" orgnaza ribbon would be big (wide) enough.

I just used an organza remnant. Allowing for my mistakes, I had enough for about 10 flowers out of an 1/8 of a yard.

I just wanted to add that I tested some cheap poly lining material that I have, and it works great. I used yellow, and it actually looked a LOT like a rose petal. I had bought some other sheer fabric to make a wrap, and tested it out. I love it, too. I'm going to work on this tonight and hopefully get enough put together for an big order I need to ship out. Thank you so much for the idea!

do you just cut the organza in circles or do you actually cut it into the shapes of a flower?

I cut them in circles. I had a hard time getting the organza cut in flower shapes to look right when I signed the edges.
