Default Refreshing korked ribbon

So I have a bunch of ribbon that I korked a while ago but didn't use, and now I bought a huge bag of it (thanks princessfancypants!) as well. Some of it has wilted a little and isn't as tightly korked as I like it, and I'm wondering if there's a way (other than re-wrapping it on a dowel and re-baking it) to make the curls tighter again. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, I've found that too.

By the way, I'm having SO much fun going through all this korked ribbon! It's all so cute, I can't wait to get it all cut and start making some stuff with it!!

I don't know, but I think that if you mix the loose ribbon with other types of ribbon-like the short spikes, or curled rik-rak, or whatever, it's not as noticable-it looks like you designed the bow that way.

I used some yesterday that was not as tightly wound as I would like so I just wrapped the loose part around a dowel, sprayed it with starch and let it air dry. Seems to be doing fine.

I have a couple tips:

Make sure it is 100% polyester. Nylon or anything else will eventually lose its shape.

Also, you could make your korker and fluff it like you fluff a pillow by patting inwards in a ball shape. I do this will all of my korkers and it seems to perk them up a bit.

Not sure if it will help, but it can't hurt to try!

How do you cut all your korkers to make them the same size? Do you cut them one by one? I was wondering if there was a way you could line them all up and use a rotary cutter?

I cut mine one by one. I usually cut them by hand, but just got a woodburner, so I'm eager to give that a try. I just cut them so they all have the same number of curls -- 5 for regular korkers, 3 for mini. You could probably try a rotary cutter, but I'm way too anal, so if one was longer or shorter than the others, it would drive me crazy.
