Default Tutu help

I made my neice a tutu and I'm not sure it is made correctly. I did the loop pull through with the tulle. It looked awesome until she put it on. The knots all got funky if you know what I mean. Some were tight and some were loose. I didn't pull them super tight because the elastic would fold. Any tips or suggestions.....I'm a weird perfectionist and I have been obsessing over this darn tutu all day.
Thanks!

I prefer to double knot mine with the knots tight together- not tight around the elastic if that makes sense. And I use no-roll elastic!! HTH!!!

I get the double knot concept, but not the tight but not around the elastic. This was supposed to be the no fold elastic stuff too. Doesn't seem to be doing such a great job of that.

I always use a single knot and have not had any probs you should beable to pull tight without the elastic folding did you use no roll? Knots take practice to get right the more you do it the better they get!

I only use square knots on elastic without pulling too tight against it as to not stretch it out, same as the ladies above. the first one i made was with the loopy knots and the same thing happened, unfortunately, that was my daughter's favorite tutu, until i threw it away one day. she's 3 and doesn't even remember it. lol...

what i mean by the double knot is to make your first knot around the elastic but don't have it "binding" the elastic. Make it tight enought that it is not just free hanging, but not tight enough that it is scrunching the elastic. then when you make your second knot, knot it tight against the first one. the first knot should stop it from binding hte elastic. make more sense?? I am soooooo bad at giving direction!!! LOL!
