I got my first on-line order tonight for a bow like this one, how should I package it to make sure it doesn't get smooshed???

I have little boxes that are about 4 inches by 5 inches, I wrap them in tissue and put a thank you sticker on the paper and send it off!

I would use a box of some sort. I use jewelry boxes of various sizes. Congrats on your first online sale!

I buy boxes at Fetpak.com. I then slip the jewelry box in an envelope. My bows are all small, so 9 times out of 10 they will fit in a bracelet box. Larger bows I sometimes have to do in a bigger box. I include the price of the box in my shipping charge. If you ship USPS Priority Mail, you can get shipping boxes for free! However, most of my customers choose First Class mail, where you have to provide your own shipping supplies.

I bought boxes from Uline. They have tons of different sizes and options...white ones or simple cardboard. Their shipping costs are a little high, but their prices overall are decent.

I went to usps.com and ordered the DVD boxes in small (FREE!!!!) along with some priority mail stickers. They have a ton of choices. I simply stick my bows on my bow card and wrap in tissue paper. You can fit a few into each box. For a larger order I sent to Italy I actual put two bows in a ziploc with some air in them and then packaged from there. They arrived in perfect condition. But, if you're baking and starching your bows I wouldn't worry too much about smooshing. They should bounce right back. HTH

I wrap mine in tissue and then in plastic so there is no chance of them getting wet.

I went to usps too and got all different sizes of boxes for free It is awesome to have them already at your house and be able to pack them right then & there! The other day I had a pretty big order & did the ziploc bag with air inside to prevent them from getting smooshed!! It also helps against rain and it has been doing a lot of that around here!

I will say I ordered a couple bows from someone else once to check out their work and their shipping. They came in a padded envelope I think, which was fine, but then they were also in a ziploc inside that. They were totally damp, and smelled bad. I would never order from that person again, and will never use ziplocs for that reason. I think the smell was from being damp in the bag.
