Default Monogrammed Ribbon Headband

Is there a tutorial somewhere that can show me how to make this type of headband? I have a friend who's little girl doesn't want to wear bows anymore, but she asked me if I make headbands since her daughter is a huge fan of headbands. If there isn't a tutorial, can anyone give me a basic idea of how you think it's done?

All you'd do is monogram on one ribbon, and then put the ribbons together with the headband in between and sew down the sides. Just gotta have the ribbon wider than the headband to be able to sew it and then the headband will slip right in.

I have a questions about this too. I have tried to monogram on the ribbon and the ribbon gets pulled along the sides and it looks snagged, if that makes sense. I haven't quite figured out the best way to stabilize the ribbon enough to keep it from pulling. Any suggestions would be great.
