I used to skim but I noticed on my dds clips that the ribbon gets saggy or loose after a while and when the clip is closed the ribbon isn't tight it kind of bulges out a little there, which bothered me- so I now push it in.

I started out by pushing in and then I noticed the skimming and liked how it looked better, so now I skim.

I push it in...I do it that way because that is the way I learned! So it is just habit!

I have been pushing it in since making my very first clip. I liked the way it looked.

I too have seen it done both ways and wasn't sure if there was a reason to do it one way over the other if it's just pure preference. But, I push mine in too. I personally like the way it looks...and it seems like it just might stay put better :-) Anything to keep the clip more secure

I really appreciate all the answers, ladies I will continue to do it my way (push it in - I like how it looks), but it was really interesting to hear the other viewpoints!
