Default Sewing FOE on machine?

Anyone use their machine to sew the rough edges of the FOE headbands? I have a ton to do and thought that would be faster than doing it by hand??????

FOE is so slick i find it easier just to sew them by hand it really doesn't take that long i sew them while watching my son run around like a crazy guy, who i must add is 16 months and my DH taught him to say chicken butt, it's kind of cute but i just know he is going to say it to the preacher!!!

anyways i just hand sew them!!

I zip elastic through my machine with a zig zag stitch. I sew them as if I was serging, so without lifting the presser foot and cutting the thread. Just one after another. zip zip zip.

I heat seal the ends with my lighter & zig-zag stitch with my machine. It sits nice and flat under the grosgrain

Whew - thanks ladies! I was figuring a zig-zag would be the way to go! I will try doing that just doing one after another and not lifting the foot. Any special thread>??
(can you tell I don't sew???)
