I am scared of the tubing. I tried it- but it looks like it would slip off..and I am afraid of the choking hazards. Same with the magnets. I have tried the shelf liner and like that the best.

i know someone that uses strips of fun foam too.
I tried it, and both seem to work the same in Hannah's fine hair

Has anyone lined the clips w/ velvet to see how well they will hold? I am thinking about getting away from the duck rug-hold stuff. It does wear off after ALOT of use. I am considering trying different options. I was wondering if anyone had a opinion on the velvet b4 I order some.

I use velvet ribbon for mine. My niece has really fine hair and they don't fall out.

I use velvet, (and the duck hold-it, and the tubing) and I haven't had any problems. I've found the best prices to be at the ribbon retreat in the wholesale area. They carry 1/4" (which is hard to find) and it covers a single prong alligator clip perfectly.

I would also like to know what those other people are using. The ones that say shelf liner is a cheap liner.
