Default question here again

I have seen people write that they use drawer liner or differnt other stuff for no slip or whatever. I read something else and I was confused so for example if I use an alligater clip and I want to line it with drawer liner or whatever do I just cut a strip for the length of the alligater clip and glue it on the bottom or do i cut 2 strips and glue it on top and bottom? and i cut it the length of the clip?

i use the drawer liner. I cut one piece and glue it to the top and bottom of the inside of the clip. just make sure you hold it open for a minute so you don't glue it togehter.
