Default Do you line toggle headbands so they won't slip

Can you tell me if you line toggle headbands so they don't slip? I am also thinking of doing some woven headbands with elastic for a softball team and wondering if I should line them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I line mine with silicone. I have not tried velcro. But after making my adult daughters and a friends preteen daughters test them, they all prefer the silicone to none at all.

Okay I am new to making toggle headbands and although "princessfancypants" has answered a lot of my questions I will try not and bother her anymore and so I will ask you girls hehe! How do you line then with silicone and where do you get the silicone? Also I followed "princessfancypants" directions for making toggle headbands and it was SO easy but I do have a question about it. Her directions says to measure and cut at 28 inches. I did that and then put it on my 8 month old daughters head and there was a little tail and so I tried it on my head and there was only about 3 inches for a tail. Is that normal? I guess in my head I imagined them to have a longer tail hanging out under the hair so it just seemed off to me. Does anyone have a picture of someone wearing a toggle headband that I can see? Thanks girls!

I use SILICONE-100% silicone aquarium sealant (I got it at Petco -$10.00 for 3oz., a little goes a long way). Anyway, I just fold the ribbon in half and squeeze a thin bead about 3inches from the middle on both sides (does this make sense?) then I spread it out with a popsicle stick. It dries pretty quickly and works super great! I got these instructions from one of the free bow instruction web sites. It's the one with the pink gerber daisy on it, GRRRRR, I can't think of the name of it. Oh, I cut my ribbon 30" because I do like a longer tail hanging and I've only made them for myself (not for sale yet). I wanted to see how they worked on my weird shaped head and very thick hair. So far, I LOVE THEM!!! I have to say that they are my personal favorites.
