Default Too Old for a tutu?

My DD is 11 and she is such a girly girl! She really wants a tutu but will not wear one because she thinks she is too old.

Does anyone here make a tutu for older girls? Maybe a toned down one, not as puffy? I seen one before with a couple layers of tulle and lined with ribbon that I really like but cannot find it again.

So please let me know if you do something like this or have seen any online. Thanks!!

I'm 20 yrs old, and I've worn a Tutu and 2 craft shows that I've done, and I'll be wearing one at a show I'm doing in 2 weeks.
You're never too old for a tutu!

Put leggings under it, add some converse high tops and a graphic tee, and she will look like a punk princess. Think Avril Lavigne.

I'm gonna wear a tutu for my craft show and I'm 25! I know that I've seen young stars wearing them...

The first tutu I made was for my three year old, the second one I made was for me..the third for a co-worker, so you tell that beautiful pre-teen of yours that she is NOT too old. I had more people take my card at this last craft show because they wanted tutus for THEMSELVES and more often than not they were between 17 and 35.

You are never too old for a tutu! It might be a little awkward in the 30+ range, but wouldn't it be awesome to see a little old lady in one? I've seen tutu's for mom's in longer styles that aren't so poofy. The punk rock styles might work, too. This is a little short, but I think the low waist would look awesome with a tank top and maybe jeans or leggings underneath.

Okay, I am totally convinced she can still wear a tutu! Thanks y'all!

I love that tutu pic! I would make it hot pink and black, that is if I knew how to make it, LOL. Any ideas? Do you think it is still strips of tulle or one sewn piece......

I made my DD (10) one resently. She loves it. Its black and turquoise. She wants another one in turquoise and orange. She also has some sequenced high tops that she will be wearing on the first day of school with the tutu.

I'm really considering making one for myself!!
