Default OMG...what happend to my bottlecaps?

I bought some pre-printed bottlecap images off ebay a while back. My MIL came over today and wanted to take some of my bottlecaps and scrabble tiles back to work with her to show co-workers. So, I went to get her a few samples and a bunch of them had discolored! They were all the same design ones. What do you think happened??? I'm sure that I put some of these in a store that carries my things and am freaking out that someone got a bad product. Ugh!

I posted a pic to show you the difference. The "big sister" cap is the one that is messed up. It kind of has a bluish cast to it. The "daddy's princess" next to it shows what the colors looked like before the freakish accident. And the little piggy cap is another one that I made from the same batch of ET. It came from the same person that I purchased the other images from that turned the bluish color. I have a few of these polka dot sayings one that I made up at the same time that I still had at home and they all turned funky blue. What could be the deal? It appears that they were all printed on the same paper. I know she normally prints at Walgreens. Also, all my caps have been stored in the same place since they were completed, so I would think if that were the issue all my caps would be bad.

Do you think she got a bad print/paper from Walgreens? I usually print my at Wal-mart. I'm definitely leery about using Walgreens for sure!

I would think it's just the paper that was used that one time. Or at least I hope so!

I'm no expert, but i think it has something to do with what you used to seal the image.

This happened to me once. Did you seal your item with clear nail polish first?

I skipped that step one time ( I was not using photo paper for this particular project) and when I sealed the bottle cap with a sealant it made the image completely disappear.

I don't use nail polish, but I use modge podge. I do them all the same way and it is just this particular style that turned colors. I thought she printed all of her images at Walgreens, though I couldn't say 100% for sure. But that is what she said. I emailed her to see if she had anyone else have this issue. And the discoloration didn't happen immediately, it took a while for it to turn blue.

This happened to me when I printed at Wal-Mart. I now always use Walgreens.

Well, that doesn't help! LOL. I am the opposite. I always print at Wal-Mart and I am sure that these I purchased were printed at Walgreens. You can definitely tell the paper is different. Maybe it was just a bad piece of paper. Isn't it funny how we steer clear of where we think the problem originated? haha. It takes way too long to make these to have stuff like this happen to several bottlecaps!

That is weird. I have to put clear nail polish on first and let it dry before I put my sealant on. I use 3D Crystal Laquer on mine.
