how are you all handling the labeling requirements? I Know we don't need the lot/batch numbers, and that if the items are too small to label then we just do the packaging.

I'm thinking of getting a stamp that has my name, location, and DOM with a space to write that in. then stamping the back of the bow cards.

What are you all doing?

I have only put a label on my cards that states a choking hazard. Just to cover my butt.

I am also going to keep a log of the ribbons/embellishments I use as of 8-14. I don't do more than 5 of the same bows so it shouldn't be too hard to id a ribbon from a description on a spreadsheet.

I have my blog on my bow cards, and my business cards (which will go with everypurchase) has my town listed. My blog has a direct link to contact me so I hope this is enough.

From what I understand you'll need that information on your packaging, and it will need to include the date of manufacturing. The date of manufacturing is the part that has me stumped on how to do it and look professional.

I like the idea of stamping or putting that info on the back of the bow cards. Just how and what all needs to be placed on there?

Thanks for the link to that! There is just so much that it confuses me when I go to look it up lol! I think what you have in mind to do is something that I would do to. I think it is a great idea and i don't know of any other way to do it better!

Love the stamp idea! Think I will copy you Sure vista has a free one right now!!

My only thing is---I dont ever remember when I make something! I put bows on bow holders until I pack up. Do you think I could do a date -- like 08/2009 for the DOM or does it have to be a specific date???

If we have the certs for the ribbon and clips--is that all we have to have??? I only order from TRR and RABOM and get clips from Sallys.

What about the flowers?

as far as the dates, anything you've made before Aug 14 doesn't need to be labeled. And if you read the link, it says something about labeling with the date it is packaged. since I make most of my items when ordered, it should be easy enough for me to keep track. If you make a lot ahead of time perhaps you can label the bow holders with the dates they are made so you know? I'm really not sure.

Is this just for businesses or if you sell anywhere?
