Default Tutu tees and onesies

Ok, for your tutu tees and onesie that have a number 1,2,3 for the birthdays, do you make the numbers or do you buy them and where?

Thats my new project. Before I hated doing tutus but ever since that post about using the cookie sheet I been making them like crazy and wanted to try the tee with it.

I make mine-print out a number in a font you like and then trace onto my fabric to make the applique. Use the heat-n-bond to iron on to shirt and then use the sewing machine to stitch around the number.

Now, I'm going to have to look for that cookie sheet thing-that sounds intriguing!

"The cookie sheet thing" she is referring to is (I think, from what I remember reading) is using a cookie sheet to wrap your tulle around and then cutting it at the one end, then you have all your strips cut out & it doesn't take forever. My cookie sheets are the stoneware ones, so that didn't work, but it DID work to use a cooling rack. From start to finish (from opening the spools of tulle to wrapping/cutting on the cooling rack, to tying on elastic) took me 45 min. I am only making them for my dd, but WOW it was so fast!!
