Default stretchy headbands

outside of using nylons and crocheted headbands, what else can I use and how do i put it together. I really like the one here but what is it, where do I find it, and is it just sewn together at the ends?

I've seen those "stretchy headbands" at various sites for sale, but to make you would need a knit or "tshirt" type material from the craft store. Cut to desired length, fold it inside out stitch longways, stitch up one of the sides, then turn it right side out, sew the other end up and then attach the ends together by sewing would be my guess. That's a "rough" way of doing it. Here is one I found where you can download the pattern for free that maybe a lot more helpful than my description LOL.

that sounds interesting. please let me know how that works for you? I would like to make headbands with printed fabric but I guess it would also have to be stretchy? or not?

That looks like a regular knit headband you can get from walmart and the bow is sewn or glued on. HTH
