Default All White Fancy Bow??

Ok ladies I need your opinions. Since my daughters have uniforms, I am having to make them some solid colored bows. Their colors are navy, hunter, and white, but my dear daughters won't put on hunter, So I'm left with White and Navy.

I am going to attempt some fancy double layered bows with spikes and surrounds, but my question is should I use all grosgain or mix up the textures.

And if you have any pics that you would like to share of navy or white bows that might be helpful as well. I am kinda at a block as to options for just navy and white. I hate that we have uniforms, so I like to add accessories to make the stand out a bit.

Thanks for the help!

Can they only wear those colors in their hair also?? Our school uniform colors are kakhi, navy, and red. My sister makes tons of bows for my school and our public school (which also wears uniforms) She puts Pink with the Red, Makes a Shades of Blue bow, and all kinds of fun things like that. Somewhere I have pictures of her "school" bows. The bow is one of the only ways to have fun with a school uniforms. My daughter is in public school this year (yep she is only three, but had a Traumatic Brain Injury last year) Last year when she was there they could wear any shades of Blue, Red (put not pink), Yellow, Green, and White. Thankfully this year they can wear any color unmarked polo shirt I am going to have so much fun this year. She aways stuck out last year though because of her bows and her funky socks!

Yes in a effort to equalize everyone they added it to the dress code - hunter, navy, and white only.

I have made a few sets bows for a some girls in a local school that wear uniforms. There colors are yellow, navy, white.

Navy swiss dot is nice for clippies. Can you do a solid white or navy bow with a hunter center/clip. Lining the clips in hunter can be a subtle way to bring in that color.

What about flowers? Can you do some white flowers or even a navy one, though they are harder to find?

What about stripes...navy/white or hunter/white? I used a yellow/white stripe for one order and added a navy center to pull in that uniform color.

wow that sucks! they tried to do that at my school ( I teach at a private christian school) only with socks not bows. Didn't work at all so they gave up. The uniforms are nice, but I feel kids still need someway to be themselves. I would just make tons of different style bows with those colors. The problem with white is that it will get dirty fast. I guess you can just make another one though one of the good things about making the bows yourself!

Yeap socks too... I do get to add ribbon ruffles to them, so at least there is that.. I might have to check into some scotchguard for bows this year!

Dots and Stripes are ok, and I'm rereading the dress code to find out if I can add khaki since they are allowed to wear them.

And, unforunately if it has hunter anywear on it, my girls won't touch it. On of the little boys teased Bailey last year for wearing a Hunter shirt cuz it was a boy color and she just simply refuses now.

I think using different ribbons would be great. You could use double ruffle, organza, satin, etc. You could even make them some fabric bows. What about navy with white polka dots? Do you make woven headbands? There are lots of different patterns you could do with those using solids, polkas, swiss, and stripes.
