Default Ideas for a basketball clippie?

Do ya'll have any ideas on how to make a basketball clippie? I've tried a few things and keep failing miserably. Or if you have any ideas for novelty-cheer leading clippies (megaphone, pom poms, etc)? I'm making bows to sell at my church basketball league as a fund-raiser and I think b-balls would sell very well. Let me know if you have any strokes of genius?

Do you have a woodburner? If so, you could cut a circle from 1.5" orange ribbon by using a half-dollar (like here: http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/how-m...tructions.html ) and use a fine-point paint pen to draw on the lines. Either that or glue 1/8" ribbon or itty bitty ric rack for the lines.

I have the ideas all written down to make basketballs, baseballs, soccer balls, etc, but I haven't made any 'prototypes' yet. I just know it would work though!

Michaels also has some stuff in the scrapbooking section. I got some b-balls it was a pack of 6 for 2.99 i think. All I did was break the stud off the back and hot glue them to the ribbon. I made some pony-o's for the cheerleaders at church.
