Default Instructions for Photographer's Tutu

Hello all!
I saw someone asking how to make these and thought I would provide the instructions on how we do them. I feel like this site has given me so much, it's at least a small way to repay the favor.

Photographer's tutus are very, very simple to make. You will need:

6 inch wide tulle (best buy I've found is at bb crafts - 100 yards for about $7)
rotary cutter
plastic headband - the thin kind without teeth

#1 - Cut about 10-15 yards of your tulle in 10 inch long pieces
#2 - Take the tulle and tie them in a knot around the headband.
#3 - Take some E6000 to the piece on each end of the headband so they will not slide off.

Walah! Photographer tutus are great for newborn pictures because they do not go all the way around and can easily slip over even a sleeping newborn. Good luck!

You are awesome!!! Thank you so much! I wanted to make one for a friend who is a photographer and has taken photos of my daughter for me. I posted the request earlier, but did not expect an answer so quickly! I may just try and get it done tonight....thanks a million

You're very welcome! I have been on my laptop a ton lately recovery from a tummy tuck so I've had a lot of time on my hands. I even made one of these sitting in my recliner yesterday. Someone actually ordered one from our website! Let me know if you have any questions, but I doubt you will. They are unbelievably easy. Good luck!

I've never seen these, but what a great product! Thanks for the instructions. Does anyone happen to have pictures of a finished tutu, not on a model??

Thanks!

I found some more old pictures. Again, they are not very good, but may help give you a better idea. These are a little longer than what we do now. We found they were a little too big, so that's why we cut them about 10 inches now.

Sarah, those are great pics! I actually made one last night before going to bed and it turned out pretty cute. I used two different shades of pink. I am going to make a few more and take some pics. I also posted a link to this posting on the initial post I made. Hope that is o.k.!

We've actually never brought them to a show, but have sold 3 from our website, each $20.
