What is the gator bite? I have to refold my bows sometimes, but it is so frustrating to get a perfect fold and then lose it trying to secure it. I've tried sewing, wire and elastic thread looped around and knotted.

i fold my ribbon in half to crease the center of the ribbon, instead of marking with a pen.
than use the figure 8 method.
i than use the gator bite tool and tie it off.
most the time my bows are consistent in size. but i have to remake a few times just to get it right. but i love my gator bite. best tool ever!!

When doing the figure 8, what does the difference in the finished bow look like when you make the loops closer together as opposed to wider loops? (Does that make sense?)

I measure and mark the middle of the ribbon and do a freehand fold.
This is the easiest way for me and they always turn out the same...

I do freehand for the most part and when its time to crease, i suck, when its time to twist i definitely suck. I can never get that nice twisted look. Should i try the BBM for that?

I'm a little lost here. Do you really twist the bow? I just measure and fold by hand. I just don't see where you twist. Maybe I'm missing a step?

I'm with you on that. I need to see some pics or something. I'm confused!
