I do this too... unless you are making the "tuxedo bow" on a baby snap clip... then its too big/thick IMO and I make the bow separate and glue on : )

These are so fun to make - I just started with them. The nice thing is that you can find some really cute printed ribbon that comes on the mini-spools (if just making them for one person). I also have seen where you sew or glue a tiny button to the very top. I have not tried that yet, but hope to soon!

Don't know if any of you do this, but when I line my clips I leave the underside of the top unglued at first. Then I glue by bow center around the top of the lined clip. The underside that is not glued yet gets glued on the underside of the bow center for a cleaner look. I don't like looking at glue on a clip and it hides it well. I may have to post pics once I figure out how to make thumbnails.

I figured out how to post a thumbnail. Now I can show you what I mean.
