Default It's too bulky!!!

So, I've been getting quite a few orders lately for BIG hairbows (about 5 1/2 to 6"). Personally I prefer the medium sized bows but of course I will do whatever it takes to make customers happy. My question is this though...when I make the large layered bows, the "knot" in the middle seems too bulky to me. When I place the clip on, I don't like the way it sits in the hair because the knot kinda lifts the bow up off of the head and u can see the clip. I try my hardest to squish the center of the layers together as much as possible but I still just can't get it right.
Any help??

Here's the last few I made...there's a lot of ribbon here and I don't know how to make the center less bulky!
Thanks ladies!

LoL Yeah the pic is huge. I couldn't get it to upload anything so I just used the URL... *makes note to self not to do that again* Haha

Oh and Thanks! My customer loved the bow too! She didn't seem to have a problem with the bulky center but I did. It bothers me!

Try resizing the picture and re-uploading it. Do you have a picture from the other side to see the knot?

How do I resize the pic?? I'm lame, I know...I don't know how to do it. LoL

I don't have a pic from the other side 'cause it's a bow that's already sold.

don't see anything wrong with your bow, it is beautiful!!! Here is how i do my center knots... I cut about a 4 or 5 inch piece of the 5/8" or 7/8" ribbon, and tie a knot in this piece of ribbon. Then I hot glue the knot to the center of the bow, and wrap and glue the the two small loose ends to the back of the bow and trim the access. (This way you can get your knot as tight as you want because you're premaking it before you add it to your bow). Anyway, hope this helps.

That's how I do mine but there's just so much ribbon in the middle (due to gathering all of the layers, spikes, etc...) that it can only be pulled so tight. It's still bulky.
I guess I will just have to play around with it! Thanks for your help!!
