Question Okay, girls.....Let's talk about baking once again....

Okay....so far in my bow making venture, I've only attempted to make classic/basic boutique bows. Now, I've moved on to the twisted boutique style bows. I started baking my bows a couple weeks ago and I LOVE how they retain their shape. In fact, I bake, then once cooled, I spray with Rave hairspray. However, I can see that these twisted bows are going to throw a wrench in my baking process because I'm afraid they will flatten out during baking. I've read on here that some of you use small bowls or tin foil to bake your twisted bows, but I need you guys to elaborate a little bit.

What do you guys use to bake your twisted boutique bows to help them keep their shape.

I have only ever baked my twisted bows and as long as your bows aren't flat when you put them in they wont be when they come out I use UB ribbon known for being the flimsiest and I spray with starch/water mix till they are good and wet then bake at 250 for 20 mins and they come out like a dream!!!! I actually baked 30 itty bitty's and 20 3" 's the other night. I use a foil lined cookie sheet but thats it just lay them on there and in they go.

Is baking the last step that you do? Do you put the completed bow in the oven, clip and all? Or do you bake and then attach to the clip? Thanks!

Not sure if it is just me or not but microwaving is not a good idea. My sister and I tried that once with ribbon just to see. A melty ribbon mess is never fun trust me, and it stinks. Then again it could of been the way we did it. Can't help on the baking... I only bake korker and my sister has never baked a bow. (and I would like to add that her bows keep there shape wonderful)

I've only baked korkers. *shrug* I don't make many bows that would need to keep a certain shape, though.
