Default Paci Clips

I have been working on paci clips, that are universal, and fit pacifiers like the soothie. I'm running into trouble when attaching the eyelet at the clip. the ribbon always frays or pulls(even with fray check) . The back of the eyelet looks messy with ribbon threads. How do you guys get the eyelet or grommet to look right/professional on the ribbon? What size eyelet do you use (i've been using all 5/8 ribbon). Where do you find them?
Thanks for your help!!

I use 3/8 inch snaps and I fold the ribbon so you're attaching it to more layers if that makes any kind of sense?? I can see if I have a picture that shows that, and if I can figure out how to post it.

Not sure how much detail you can really tell...It's still not as perfect as I would like but it does work a lot better than attaching to a single layer of ribbon.

I can't help any but I am very interested in your paci clip. My daughter uses a soothie paci and I have only found one paci keeper that works with it and it is bigger than the pacifier so it covers half her face!!! Let us know as soon as you get this done and have them available somewhere please!!! Thanks!!

Sorry...I misunderstood what you were trying to use. But it actually does work with the Soothie. I have a mom that uses them for twins all the time. The Soothie hole is actually flexible to fit.

Hi there.. I started making these a few months ago, for my niece. At the time we couldn't find anything clip that would really stay so I made this up. I love your design. I use the grommet hole punch (not sure of its proper name) I punch the hole where i want it first, before actually putting the pieces on to mount. Sometimes if its fraying a bunch you can take a lighter to it like you do ribbon, before adding the pieces..

I noticed that you use ribbon where i use the eyelet, may I ask what the eyelet is for?

Hope this helps, I'll try to look for a better picture that actually shoes the eyelet.

duh.... I use a lighter to heat seal all the time!!! why didn't I think of that! It works like a charm!!! I'm so excited.... they will look so much better now : ).... Thanks for the idea. I sware I have mom mush for a brain sometimes : )

In regards to the eyelet question.... I meant the metal piece... I think they are called eyelets.... I use it to bond the two sides of ribbon, while at the same time allowing the clip to slide as needed.

Most people just sew a seam where you are attaching the eyelet. The eyelet really isn't necessary, just looks kinda cute.
