How do you know what size your spikes should be? Is there a rule of thumb everytime I do one it either comes out too short and you cant see them hidden behind the bow or too long and looks like a crap TIA

I Dont cut mine until I have them ON the bow............

Here is how I keep the bottom spike in place so I am not sewing so much ribbon..



heat seal it and place the other spikes the way you want and stitch through it


Then I glue them to the bow

I do this, too, if I have more than 4 spikes. Cuts down on the bulk for sure!! Love the way you think, Allison!!

Woooow! I had no idea you can bake the bows.. i guess it makes sense. Is this the same way you do korkers. 250*f for 20-ish?

Yep! Make sure you bake it before you add a clip or any centers though. Go slightly lower on the temp AND time if you have a white ribbon with color printing as it can run or turn yellowish.

It is just lots of practice Very few people 'get' spikes or bows on the first few tries!
