Default Tutu dress Help

Could someone help me figure out how the top of this tutu dress is attached?

I can't figure out how they wrapped the lavendar tulle around the dress and attached it....

Hey girlie!!
That is such a gorgeous tutu dress. It looks to me like it is just wrapped, you can see it tied in the back. It may be stitched underneath some how. Love it though!!

Thanks for the response. I was hoping that this wasn't the case....but I wondering how would you make it "stay in place"....or would it be another way?

I have to make a "Little Mermaid" Tutu dress and I am stumped on how to achieve this and this is the best one I've seen.....

Ideas anyone?????????????????????????????????: confused:

I also think it is wraped around and tied off to cover the knots of the dress, if you look in the pics, it is differnt widths in each picture. I would think you could do it by stiching the bottom layer of the tulle fast, so you couldnt see it on the top kwim? it is super cute

Would you stitch several layers togther across the knots or right below the knots?

I also had the idea to just use 2 big lavender flowers at the top(kind of like the "sea shell bra" thing) instead of the tulle being wrapped around....What do you think? Suggestions.......

Thanks, Becky! I saw that one. I just thought it was pretty, but they seashells and things at the top looked itchy, ykwim? And then I wouldn't even know where to begin on how to add the sea shells and stuff. I like the pearl idea though. I think I might incorporate that.

I made one with a sash like an empire waist tutu dress and what I did was sew on some snaps. I put them on the sides like under the arms so that you couldn't see them and then put them on the sash and snapped it on and then tied it in the back. I think that it would work on this one too just to keep it in place!

Yeah, it's more than one tutu. It's actually 3 tutus. The first one has the bottom two layers, then the next one has one layer and then the top one has two layers
