Default Successful Ways to attach Embellishments to Flip Flops

I just wanted to start a thread on successful ways (things that you are positive that work) to attach embellishments to flip flops.....things like bows, korkers, types of glue etc. There are so many threads on this and I can't seem to find any successful methods, just things people think might work. I'll begin....

I have used hot glue to wrap the straps and small french clips to attach bows it definitely works.

Would anyone else like to add to this?

I use Fabri-Tac to wrap the straps and I sew and/or glue (with E6000) bows or bling.

I find hot glue melts if customers wear the flip flops in the heat (which they obvioulsy do )

Someone mentioned a little while ago that they use "zip-ties" to attach bows to flip flops.

That was me....yes I use zip ties (two for each bow going from underneath the straps through the braid to the bow)to attach the bows and then cover them with the bow center and glue it with E600.And it has worked wonderfull you can pull that bow all you want and it won`t come off.
As for the braid i glue it with E600 over the straps using a dab of hot glue in the ends as this works quicker then the E600 and helps me maintain the braid in place while the E600 dries.
