Default How to make korker quickly?

I posted a thread: how to roll ribbon into rolls quickly. Here is the link.

I heard that drill can be used to make the korker quickly. Just insert the dowel as if it's a bit, secure the end of the ribbon using clip and then start the drill. I don't use a lot of korkers so I haven't tried it. My question is how to make sure the ribbon is wrapped on the dowel evenly?

Any thoughts?

I have tried this a few times, it takes ALOT of practice, you have to make sure you hold your ribbon tight, it is alittle aquaward at first, but it does get alot easier Sometimes its easier with 2 people one holding ribbon and the dowel, and the other holding the drill. I found it was actually faster for me to roll them by hand, i can almost do it in my sleep now lol!

I have used the drill very successfully. You just put it in and then I have a variable speed drill and hold the ribbon tightly and it goes quickly. I have ahd to undo it a couple of times but it is so much easier to me I can do tons of dowels quickly. My daughters who are 16 can do them easily with the drill too. The good thing is if you mess up you just push the drill to go in reverse and start over! I am sure you can do this! It is just like anythign else, practice makes perfect!

Is this for wrapping a dowel for korkers or to just get the ribbon in rolls for storage. I am not understanding how your ribbon gets on the dowel by using the drill. Can someone post a picture for this visual girl?
