Default boutique bows

I have a question about boutique bows.

I've always made mine the way Michelle has on her free instructions. But somehow they don't end up as loopy as the ones I see in, well boutiques. I don't know if there is a fold or a twist that I am missing. Can someone take a look at the pic I have attached that shows a basic finished one of mine and see if they can tell what I am missing?

And by loopy I mean when you see some of the inside of the ribbon.

You're right, it is because they're twisted, hence the name, twisted boutique. Yours are still cute, though! I know TOTT's has twisted boutique in their instructions. Someone else here may know if any one has free instructions on twisted boutique.

I don't necessarily mind buying instructions. But I want to make sure that I get the kind that I want and I figured that people here could steer me in the right direction. "twisted boutique" is what I'm looking for?

ETA: Just checked and jeez, the instructions are expensive to learn just one twist. All of the other instructions would be nice to have but I'll never make most of them.

Hello Claire,
I think your bow is very cute as a 'boutique bow'! If you want 'twisted boutique bow' however, what you need is just twisting the ribbon a bit more when you fold those loops. I posted once here and I think it might be useful just check it - the last thread

I agree with Lynn. I think your bow is the right technique, jsut overexagerrate your angles when folding it. I love that in the middle-- what is that??
