Default Woven Headbands HELP!

I have no problem making the woven headbands I have a problem ending them. I can't seem to make the end look right.I have tried heat sealing and it just does not look right. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have bought instructions but none seem to show exactly how to end it (seal it off). Do you know of any instructions?

I finish off my headbands by gluing ends to the underside of band, then I hand sew a ribbon lining to the underside. The lining hides all the ends, and it helps make the headbands more comfortable to wear. Also, the ribbon helps the headbands last longer... the ones I have made without the lining tend to wear out rather quickly...(my girls wear the same headband everyday to school, so they get LOTS of wear!)

When I finish mine off, I cut the inside 2 ribbons off first. Then I fold over the 2 outside ribbon into the inside. After the hot glue has set for a little bit, I take a heat gun (not a hot glue gun) and heat up the ribbons just a tad. This seals the ribbon ends, cleans up any hot glue strings and you are able to reposition the ribbon ends just the way you want to.

HTH.

When I get to the end of the weaving there will be two pieces overlapping in the outside and inside of the headband. On the outside of the headband I glue the bottom ribbon to the headband and then glue the top ribbon to the bottom ribbon. I do the same thing on the inside of the headband. The headband ends up looking like I have two pieces coming out the left side and two pieces coming out the right side. Then I cut, with scissors, these tails on a diagonal. I heat seal the ends and press them together right after I heat seal them. I hope that wasn't too confusing but it seems to finish off the ends nicely for me.
