Default personal preference question

When you line your clips, at the part where your fingers pinch the clip,do you line it at a 90 degree angle or follow the zigzag inside of the pinch piece.

I know it's a personal preference thing but I'm wondering if customers prefer one way over the other? If I end up doping a craft fair I want to make them the way customers like.

Thanks

WOW! I never even thought about it. I guess I should follow the shape of the clip, but I've always done the 90 degree angle straight up.

I saw a bunch of "cheap" bows this weekend and none of the clips were lined. Those women sure were buying those 1 and 2 buck bows!

I have done it both ways and prefer to go with the shape of the clip. Makes that end seem much less noticeable.

contour of the clip also. I think it makes it harder for the girls to chew it off.

Good point, I have always glued the ribbon with the contour of the clip. The other way probably would be easier for the little ones to rip it off.

I love seeing everyone's answers to questions like these!

I'm just the opposite of most of these answers though - I usually do the 90 degree thing since to me it sorta looks like another bow loop from the end.

May need to try it the other way just for comparison.

Could I ask something? So far I just follow the shape of clip. I haven't made lots of clips but I am so tempted to make more, so I would love to know, if you do it the 90degree way, then when you open the clip , the ribbon which cover that part will crease?

Thank you
Lynn

I learned how to cover the clips I would do the 90 degree method. I guess it is hard to chage once a habit is formed. Maybe because it is quicker for me. I don't know....
