Default bottle cap liner

I just got some bottle caps to use for bow centers. They are darling but they still have the rubber liner in them. I read another post where some of the ladies said that the bottle caps can come off if you dont remove that rubber liner. I want to take it out but I dont know how to do it without messing up the image on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have never had a problem with them coming off. I tried to remove those stupid liners & I gave up. I have heard that you can boil them, put them on a coffee maker burner and a few other ideas & personally I can't get any of them to work. The only way I was able to do it was with my woodburner & the fumes it made I was sure I would end up with some sort of disease from it. If you attach them well, they should stay with the liner or not.

I don't think the rubber piece makes them come off any faster. I just leave it in when I glue them onto bows. I only remove it for making necklaces or things where the back shows.

here is what you do...before you add images and all that good stuff....turn on your coffee pot....or if you have a candle warmer turn it on...it has to be nice and hot...place a few caps on the hot part of the coffee pot..with the top (flat side) touching the hot burner. Leave on their for a minute or so...once you do some you will figure out how long to leave them there...with a a rag (the caps will be hot!!) take them off...I use a fork...just poke the plastic liner out...YOU ARE DONE!!

If it isn't working you are not leaving them on enough!!

I have used them both ways on bows, with the rubber still in and without and havent had any detach. (knock on wood ) The ones that I removed the rubber from....I held the bottle cap with my tweezers and used my lighter to heat the rubber up from the rubber side and then used my another pair of tweezers to pull it right out. I tried the candle warmer one but it takes longer and I am impatient and my lighter is always right there from heat sealing ribbon...HTH
