Default Hot glue or fabric tack

I have been using a hot glue gun on my bows so far, but am wondering if fabric tack (I think that's what it's called) would work better. The hot glue sometimes cools before I have time to glue the ribbon on (mostly when I'm lining the clip or glueing small parts on different character bows). Any advice would be great!

Thanks Tiffany

I am starting to like FabriTac and MagnaTac better than hot glue. I don;t know about others, but some of the clips I lined with hot glue 2 months ago have come undone on one end (only 2 cilps, but that still bothers me, especially if I make as gifts or make for craft fairs). Not sure if fabriTac can eventually come undone, has that happened to anyone that has used it?

I've tried Fabric Tac on lining clips... Totally agree that it's so manageable and smooth finished but it does comes undone but ONLY the part where it's ribbon-to-metal and not the part where it's ribbon-to-ribbon. Hot glue, some came off, some didn't.

I'm yet able to pull out the ones I used with E6000. I know, fumes not good...=(

Another one that I've read is the Liquid Fusion. I hvn't tried on lining clips as I hv no patience to wait for it to be tacky enough. IMO, I kinda had to wait for wee bit like the e6000 before using.

My thought on this: Fabric Tac, if it's touching ribbon-to-ribbon and when it comes to the back part of the clip, something stronger.

But how about MagnaTac? Anyone work with that and know if it comes off the metal? I know it is hard to get so not many have it, but I have a bottle and think I will keep lining with it to find out. We'll see how it goes, I'll let you know

Hot glue dries too fast, fabric glue dries too slow. I wish there was something in between.
