Default I Can't Get These Korkers To Work!

I've read all the threads on korkers and I can't get these to work. I want to do the sewing method because I don't want them to fall apart. Once I'm done the tops where the thread goes in is so flat. They don't poof up at the top or bottom.
I cut to 2 inches and used 25 korkers. Should be enough, right? I see most people only do 20...

how do you get the top to go up instead of staying flat where the thread goes in?

I do about 30-35 korkers also. I can't fit them all on the needle at once, so when I get finished I slide them down right below the needle. I push them all down together and go back up through with the needle until I can tie off. I then just fluff them up. Mine tend to get flat too if I don't have enough ribbon.

Just to make sure...you are stitching into the middle of the cut korker piece? If you sew at the ends it will be all floppy.

I use 15-18 2" cuts (1/4" ribbon) and mine are puffy not flat in the middle. You may need to fluff them up...sometimes the korks nestle into each other and you need to seperate them.

If you can post a picture that can always be helpful.
