partially lined is the way to go, easier and stays in the hair better when it's the metal against the hair as opposed to ribbon

I have an infant with very little hair, and the partial goes in way better. :0) That's how I line them as well...

I did fully lined with my daughters first ones, and the hair gets caught on the edge. So I started doing them partially and they work so much better.

Partial, it slides in the hair easier.
