Smile Re: Full vs. partial

I fully line with velvet ribbon. Customers have told me it's their preference because they don't pull apart and they don't "poke" kids in the head with the metal prong. They won't carry the partially lined at the boutiques around me because they say they look cheap (like people are cutting back on the ribbon cost). I don't know--personally I think it's a preference--they obviously both work. I guess see which one works for you (and sells best)

I do both. On the double prong I fully line and the single prong I do a partial for my customers who want them for pony's.

I partially line mine! It makes putting in a clip so much easier.

I partially line them b/c they are easier to put in like the others said. My mini alligator clips, I fully line b/c 1) it helps it stay in better and 2) there is no pointed edge to poke themselves with.

I like partial too. If they have fine hair, the fully lined slides out.
