Default Lining alligator clips

Ok, don't laugh because this question is going to sound really elementary, but I have a question about lining alligator clips....

I've lined hundreds and hundreds of them, but sometimes my ribbon doesn't line up perfectly across the top of the clip. These are fine when you're glueing it to a bow, but for bare clippies it's not acceptable. I've seen so many of your posts of clippies and they look PERFECT! What's the trick to getting them that way EVERY TIME!

Thanks!

if you want to use the tape - you can really line it up well.

Do a search for sealah tape. Some people also use terrifically tacky tape.

I use the tape too... so easy... the seleah tape says that it is permanate and machine washable I think (not that you can put a metal clip in the wash... but if it'll survive that, I'm sure it's good forever) I've used terrifically tacky tape too, and haven't had any problems with the ribbon coming off the clips... even with my 19 month old who loves to take out clips and play with them!

I haven't tried the other type of tape but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the terrifically tacky tape and it is soooo affordable! They look so much nicer & neater. I use the 1/4" on mine too...perfect for 3/8!

I like it, too. Its a little difficult for me to manipulate because I have such bad carpal tunnel, but at least I'm not scorching my skin with a glue gun.
