Default Is rolling ribbon neccessary?

Forgive me, I'm new to the whole hairbow making, and i've come back from a ribbon outlet w/ bags and bags of loose ribbon in ziplock bags. it's not wrinkled seems to sit in there fine, but i don't know if it's absolutely neccessary to roll them, and i'm talking yards and yards there may even be about 50 yards that I only paid 35cents for thats not on a roll. does anyone have photos of what they should look like if you hand roll them? and how you store your loose ribbons that are more than a yard? Thanks guys!

Personally I like to keep mine rolled. It keeps it neater & you can see what you have easier. My double ruffle ribbon I keep in the little baggies it came in & don't mess with rolling that. I think it really depends on your preference & your storage situation.
There is a tutorial somewhere on here about how to use the drill to roll ribbon quickly.

I don't have pics, but when I need to roll a few yards of ribbon, I usually pinch and wrap around my index finger - once you get it started, it doesn't move around. HTH

I have never done this myself, but I just saw the like while I was reading how to roll a korker with a drill. With 50 yards of ribbon you might need to do it this way, I'd think it would take all day doing it by hand. Good luck!

That drill thing is a good idea! I'll have to try that sometime.

if it's possible that something could get placed ontop of your bags of ribbon definately roll it (I had a fresh bag of ribbon straight from the store and my husband put a book ontop of it and put tons of icky creases in it!) Otherwise, personal preference I guess.

I like to keep mine rolled so I can see it all and see what I have. I keep it in clear bins (bead boxes for 3/8)
