Default What size dowels do you use?

Hello ladies. I have started making korkers but I don't like how they turn out. I am wondering what size dowels you use? Thank you for your response. Have a great day.

I use 1/4", cut 3 times to make each 12" long. For me this is the perfect length, doesn't take forever to put the ribbon on and take off, plus cuts to 6 perfect 2" pieces.

Aloha, I use 3/16 rods. I was able to find packs of 16 quantity, 12 inches long at Walmart for just over a dollar.

I generally use 1/4" dowels. I do occasionally use the slightly smaller ones...1/8"?? maybe for 1/8 ribbon. I have also tried on some bigger sized dowels, much bigger than the 1/4" got too floppy in my opinion.

I use 1/4" and 3/16" (??) dowels. I cut my ribbon at 2" pieces.

the smaller the dowel, the tighter the korker, i've used as small as 1/8 up to 5/8 and joann's has them in individual packs or multi-packs of 20-22 count for 99cents.
