Default Cupcake clippies

Could someone please tell me how to make a cupcake clippie? Out of felt or ribbon. It's for my daughter's 2nd birthday. If you have any suggestions of anything else besides a cupcake clippie that would be cute for that, feel free to share. Thanks!

There are several different ways to make cupcakes. I have some in my shop that are made with pompoms and some people make them with just ribbon or with korker. girlythings.com has a free tut on the korker version but I couldn't get it to work.

I've seen the pompom ones and they are really cute. What are the pompoms glued to though? Any idea how to make a couple of candles sticking out of it?

This might not be exactly what you are looking for, but I would line an alligator clip with really cute cupcake ribbon (I just saw some in the $1 bin at Michael's) and then take a cupcake plastic embellishment in the button section and glue that to the clip. You could add some small korker ribbon to either side of it. Just an idea! Best of luck!!
